Mexico now has a population over 90 million. Nearly half are under 25 years of age. Music is a wonderful tool to reach a young population. In some areas in Mexico, as that in which the Gomez family lives and works, is (according to recent statistics) at 65% receptivity to the gospel! Can you imagine large numbers of converts every time an invitation is extended?

The home church in Mexico City where Leslie serves on staff as Minister of Worship has had unprecedented growth:

• a third Sunday morning service was started in Sept. 1995, and a fourth service was started in Sept. 1997, with over 1,500 in attendance.
• many other Mexican churches are following this church's example of having blended worship and evangelistic concerts
• to help train leaders in the area, Leslie helped start a Christian Music School based at this church with now over 100 students.

Leslie is producing Christian musical publications and cassettes in Spanish at a local recording studio. These products are presently being used all over Mexico; some of these are also distributed in Central America. What a blessing to reach so many locally through concerts and worshipful experiences, but also to have an impact through the ministry of other churches using Pan American Music Ministry products. Claudia is disciplining by developing her own materials to help people read through and study the Scriptures in a two-year plan. Jesus Christ is being proclaimed through this ministry and many are coming to receive him as Savior and Lord! Others are being discipled and prepared for leadership elsewhere!
